My Writing

I enjoy writing about future products, ecological and social justice issues,  and conscious  consumerism.

Plastic-Based Clothing Sheds Microfibers into the Ocean is an article for the Surfrider Foundation. The Surfrider Foundation was my client for my capstone project and used my research for their internal teams.

The article includes actionable steps consumers can take to reduce and mitigate microplastic pollution from their synthetic clothes, as well as passed and proposed bills relating to microplastic pollution in the US.

The Plastic Pandemic is an article I wrote for Sustain the Mag about the increased use of plastic packaging during the early months of COVID-19.

I talk about issues with recycling and touch on the lobbying and propaganda by the plastics industry as a way to reverse certain plastic-free or reduction bills.

I also include examples of brands that are conceptualizing and/or producing sustainable solutions to plastic-free packaging.
