Tracing Vintage Denim

Tracing Vintage Denim is a three part poster project from my Sustainability & Production class, which I took during my Msc studies as a Sustainable Environmental Systems graduate student.

Our task was to investigate the potential impacts of a garment we own and analyze its lifecycle. For me, this was a vintage Levi’s denim jacket. The graphs showing specific environmental impacts were determined by LCA program, Sustainable Minds. The process tree shows each part of the jacket and the respective production processes and impacts involved.

Additionally, we had to find sustainable alternatives and strategies to lower the overall footprint and boost longevity of the existing garment.
