Wool vs Acrylic Beanie LCA

The project below is a simplified version of the project, Tracing Vintage Denim. Wool vs Acrylic Beanie LCA explores the lifecycles of both a wool and acrylic beanie from raw material to end of life. A direct comparison can be seen between the respective fibers (wool being natural and acrylic being synthetic).

The environmental impacts of each beanie was determined by inputting data into the LCA program, Sustainable Minds.

Thereafter, data for a recycled wool beanie was inputted into the LCA program in order to achieve a product with an improved carbon footprint and reduced environmental impact.
